Halloween

Halloween has come and gone. We dressed up as Toy Story this year. We went trick o treating in one of my old co-workers neighborhood. We only ended up going down 2 streets and that took us like an hour and half. It was exhausting. I didn't take any pictures while we were trickotreating, but we did go get our professional pics done. I love that family tradition. I have already started to brainstorm for next years costumes. We didn't go to the ward trunk or treat this year because Tarren was not feeling well and then I felt horrible too. This pregnancy is kicking my butt. When I was pregnant with Tarren and Samuel, it was a piece of cake compared to this one. I wasn't as sick or tired. I did get tired with them, but I am constantly tired. I go to bed at like 6 every night. It is crazy. I am just hoping when I reach the 12 week mark that I will get over the sickness. I already have a gut and I am not even 3 months. It is amazing how different the pregnancies are. I am excited to find out what we are having though. It won't be until January, so it will be a late Christmas present. The baby EDD is May 20th, but I have c-sections so it will be a week before that. I crave the craziest things. I have been craving chic-fil-a sauce for weeks. Spencer went and bought me these two huge containers of sauce. I threw up a turkey sandwich, so I can't stand the sight or smell of turkey. I had a major craving for KFC's coleslaw. I even ate it for breakfast....gross! Needless to say, I am curious to see how the rest of the pregnancy goes.

Samuel's 15 month check-up

Weight: 22lbs....16%
Height: 31 in....46%
Head:19.75...98%

So, basically he is a skinny average height kid with a big head. :) I can't believe he is so skinny. He eats more than Tarren does. It is amazing how our bodies have such different metabolisms. Samuel can be so sweet at times and then a little stinker the other times. I love that when I get home from work, he freaks out because he is so excited to see me. He can't run fast enough to me! His new thing is sitting on me when I am laying down. He has to climb right up on top of me and sit down even if it is right on my neck. If I try to move him, he freaks out. Silly kid. He loves to follow his brother around and copy whatever he is doing. He loves to walk around and around and explore everything. He can give the funniest pout face that makes me laugh everytime. He still loves to eat meat. He will eat most fruit and some veggies. He loves chocolate just like his mom. He is so fun to squeeze and you just want to hug him over and over and over. He loves to give kisses. He hates getting his diaper changed, but likes to throw away the dirty diaper. He is the funniest kid! I love him so much and can't believe that he is growing so fast and isn't my baby anymore. :(

Is Halloween here yet....?

I can not wait until Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays because we dress up in a family theme and go trick or treating. This year I am a little bummed because we have one of our final games on Halloween, but I am hoping it will finish early. Then, we can still go trick 'o' treating. We only have like a month and half left, but who is counting!

School Time is here...

So, it is time for school to almost start which means it is time for me to go back to work. We start our teacher inservice days on Tuesday, but last week I had to go to a couple of different trainings. We had a coaches UIL training on Friday morning. All of the coaches in the district have to be there. So, I got to see all of my old co-workers from last year. It was weird to not be sitting with them and to not be wearing maroon. All of the coaches from Katy seem very nice and I think it will be a good year. After lunch on Friday, I went up to Katy to meet with the A.P. and he showed me around. He introduced me to the front office people and showed me around. It was weird because they have all of the 8th grade group pictures hanging on the wall and I was able to find my picture in there. I am going to go up there tomorrow and get my office together. Here is to a new year and new beginnings.

Discovery Green

After the Zoo, we went to Discovery Green to play on the splash pad. It helped cool us down. Tarren woke up and was ready to go.

All wiped out at the end of the day.

Zoo

We went to the Zoo on a free day. I figured since it was over a 100 degrees outside that not that many people would be there. Boy was I wrong! When we got there, the parking lot was packed and the line to find a spot was huge. We drove around and around. Thank goodness Spencer's mom's husband has a handicap parking sticker. They were able to park fast and then find someone that was leaving and follow them to their spot so that we could get it. We went in and stayed for a couple of hours. It wasn't too hot because of the shade trees and Spencer's mom brought a cold watermelon, so that helped cool us off a lot. Family Picture

Boys will be boys

Samuel is finally walking for the most part. He will get up and walk and then decide to crawl and drop down to his knees. He still likes to hold on to at least one hand when he wants to go fast. He started walking at 13 months.

Tarren kept trying to knock him over when he was first trying to walk, but after getting in trouble for it a couple of times he has stopped. They love to play together, but they also like to fight over things. One thing in particular is the toy car. Every now and then they will have a sweet brotherly love where Tarren will push Samuel around in the car or they will sit in the car together.

They LOVE to play in the balls. That room is such a mess after they play in there, but it keeps them busy for hours.

Park/Anna's Bday

So, this summer I have been working my butt off to get back into shape after Samuel. I found it way harder to lose the weight this time around. I think it is because with Samuel I did nothing but eat. When I was pregnant with Tarren, I excercised somewhat and ate pretty healthy. I dropped the weight within a few months. Samuel it has taken me 13 months. When we decide to get pregnant with a third one, I am going to go hardcore on the exercise and eat way healthy and see how the outcome is after I have the baby. I think it will be way easier to get back to my original weight. Anyways, I have been running about 4 times a week and I take the kids in a double stroller. After I am done jogging, I will let them play at the park. One time, we had a bunch of old bread so I let them feed the ducks. I love being so close to a jogging park!

The ducks are very brave and they started to chase after Tarren to try and get the bread. It was quite funny! Tarren loves to throw rocks in the water.

We went to Anna's Bday party in Dayton. It was really cute. They had a winnie the pooh theme and so the kids all got character headbands with ears on them. They had a see-saw there. I have not seen a see-saw like this since I was a kid. So, it was fun to take a ride on...well kind of. I forgot how uncomfortable your butt gets. :)

Beach Trip and Fourth of July

We went to down to Galveston to go to the beach and enjoy a little sun. We decieded to rent a bicycle and take a ride along the seawall. I really liked the bike because it had two kids seats on front. The kids seemed to enjoy it for the most part, but I think Spencer had the most fun. He was a pedaling maniac!

We went down to the beach and took a dip in the water. Tarren enjoyed playing in the water, Spencer built a sand castle and Samuel and I ended up walking back and forth up and down the beach.

Samuel loved to sit and chill, but I caught him eating the sand quite a bit.

We went to "The Spot" to get something to eat. It was very yummy!

JULY 4TH

We went to the Kemah Boardwalk to see the fireworks and feed the stingrays.

Tarren played in the little water spout splash zone they have.

We fed the stingrays and looked at the fish.

Watching the fireworks!!!

Cars 2

We went and saw Cars 2. It was pretty good, well at least the parts that I saw. Let's just say Samuel does not like to sit still. He is in the assisted walking phase and will grab your fingers and take off. If he doesn't get to go where he wants to go when he wants to go he begins to throw a tantrum. Not fun! I spent most of the movie on the side of the movie theater with him and then in the lobby when he really started to cry. Oh well. At least it was cheap because it was early.

Samuel is ONE!!!

Samuel turned one yesterday on 6-19-11. We had a kiddie pool party for him on Saturday. He did a really good job on eating his cupcake. He LOVES food! The kids seemed to have fun in the pool and Samuel just wanted to walk around. He uses us as a walker. If he is sitting in my lap and wants down, he will wiggle till he is on the floor and then reach back for each hand. Once he has them, he is off. He is quite the character. He loves to play with his brother and follow him around. He will try to climb on anything. He has a total of 8 teeth now and is trying to walk by himself, but he isn't quite there. He loves to give open mouthed kisses and what seems like a head butt. He will look at me with his big blue eyes and make my heart melt. He also does this thing where he raises his eyebrows, like who me. It makes me laugh! He is not a fan of milk. He still wants to drink out of the bottle and he still wants formula. We went to the doctor today and his stats are as follows:

Head: 19 1/2...not sure what percentile probably the 90th though

Height: 29 1/2...40%

Weight: 21 lbs 7 oz.... 30%

He really only says mama and dada right now, but he is very good at pointing and grunting. He is a doll and I can't wait to see him continue to grow!
