School Time is here...

So, it is time for school to almost start which means it is time for me to go back to work. We start our teacher inservice days on Tuesday, but last week I had to go to a couple of different trainings. We had a coaches UIL training on Friday morning. All of the coaches in the district have to be there. So, I got to see all of my old co-workers from last year. It was weird to not be sitting with them and to not be wearing maroon. All of the coaches from Katy seem very nice and I think it will be a good year. After lunch on Friday, I went up to Katy to meet with the A.P. and he showed me around. He introduced me to the front office people and showed me around. It was weird because they have all of the 8th grade group pictures hanging on the wall and I was able to find my picture in there. I am going to go up there tomorrow and get my office together. Here is to a new year and new beginnings.

Discovery Green

After the Zoo, we went to Discovery Green to play on the splash pad. It helped cool us down. Tarren woke up and was ready to go.

All wiped out at the end of the day.

Zoo

We went to the Zoo on a free day. I figured since it was over a 100 degrees outside that not that many people would be there. Boy was I wrong! When we got there, the parking lot was packed and the line to find a spot was huge. We drove around and around. Thank goodness Spencer's mom's husband has a handicap parking sticker. They were able to park fast and then find someone that was leaving and follow them to their spot so that we could get it. We went in and stayed for a couple of hours. It wasn't too hot because of the shade trees and Spencer's mom brought a cold watermelon, so that helped cool us off a lot. Family Picture

Boys will be boys

Samuel is finally walking for the most part. He will get up and walk and then decide to crawl and drop down to his knees. He still likes to hold on to at least one hand when he wants to go fast. He started walking at 13 months.

Tarren kept trying to knock him over when he was first trying to walk, but after getting in trouble for it a couple of times he has stopped. They love to play together, but they also like to fight over things. One thing in particular is the toy car. Every now and then they will have a sweet brotherly love where Tarren will push Samuel around in the car or they will sit in the car together.

They LOVE to play in the balls. That room is such a mess after they play in there, but it keeps them busy for hours.

Park/Anna's Bday

So, this summer I have been working my butt off to get back into shape after Samuel. I found it way harder to lose the weight this time around. I think it is because with Samuel I did nothing but eat. When I was pregnant with Tarren, I excercised somewhat and ate pretty healthy. I dropped the weight within a few months. Samuel it has taken me 13 months. When we decide to get pregnant with a third one, I am going to go hardcore on the exercise and eat way healthy and see how the outcome is after I have the baby. I think it will be way easier to get back to my original weight. Anyways, I have been running about 4 times a week and I take the kids in a double stroller. After I am done jogging, I will let them play at the park. One time, we had a bunch of old bread so I let them feed the ducks. I love being so close to a jogging park!

The ducks are very brave and they started to chase after Tarren to try and get the bread. It was quite funny! Tarren loves to throw rocks in the water.

We went to Anna's Bday party in Dayton. It was really cute. They had a winnie the pooh theme and so the kids all got character headbands with ears on them. They had a see-saw there. I have not seen a see-saw like this since I was a kid. So, it was fun to take a ride on...well kind of. I forgot how uncomfortable your butt gets. :)
