Will he ever come???!!

So, we thought this baby would already be here by now. Since Tarren came at 38 weeks, we naturally assumed this baby would also come early. NOT HAPPENING!!! I am soooo ready!! I go to my last doctor's appointment today. I am offically 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I have been getting a lot of false labor these last few days, so hopefully the real thing is right around the corner. I can say that I probably should try to make it to my official due date of June 14th because that is when my doctor will be back in town. Yes...my doctor left town this week. It wouldn't be such a big deal except for the fact that she was going to let me try to do a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). I had a c-section with Tarren and we felt it wasn't really necessary so we tried to find a doctor to do the vbac with this one. I was looking to switch practices too, but there are not many doctors that are willing to try vbacs. This doctor does it a lot and she was with the same practice. However, the doctor that delivered Tarren is in this practice and she is high on c-sections. Anyways, when we found out she was going out of town we asked if the other doctors would let me try a v-bac and she said yes all but one. Guess who the one is...yup...the one that delivered Tarren. So, we are hoping and praying if I do go into labor we do not get her.

So, besides the whole labor thing we are getting ready for family reunion. We are in charge of it this year with Spencer's sister Rachel and her husband. I can say that I really haven't done much due to the extra 30lb bump I have been carrying around. Spencer is really excited and has been getting lots together these last few days. We are having the majority of the reunion here in Katy and will have 4 adults and 3 kids and 2 babies staying with us. Needless to say we will have a full house, but it will be great to see the family.

Tarren has been growing like a weed and I swear that boy is ALWAYS hungry. He is saying and doing some of the cutest things. He is a copycat, so we have to be careful with what we say. His new copycat phrase is, "are you kidding me". He came in the other day and there was a blanket on the floor and he pointed to the blanket, put his hands up in the air and said, "are you kidding me?" He then continued to jabber something else that we couldn't understand. It was funny. We were outside the other day and he wanted to go on the swing. He pointed to the swing and said swing and then said, "dut, dut, dut". The reason he says this is because when Spencer first started putting him on the swing he would push him up and say,"dut, dut, dut" as they got higher. So, that is how Tarren refers to it. He loves to help. He helps unload the dishwasher, carry in groceries and he helped Spencer mow the lawn. He still loves to cuddle and he loves to bring his blanket too.

Spencer is working hard as always and pampering me at the same time. He tore his ACL in April and we plan to do the surgery sometime this summer. He is a FANTASTIC husband and father. I wouldn't change him for anything in the world! He is my soulmate and best friend! I can't imagine life without him!

Hopefully, my next post will be with pictures of a new baby. Until then....

Hey girl! Good luck with the baby stuff and hopefully you will get to do your VBAC. I was thinking about doing one with Michael but he had some crazy problem with his umbilical cord and placenta so I ended up having a c-section almost 4 weeks early b/c I wasn't allowed to go into labor b/c he would hemorhage. Hopefully you will get the doctor you want and all will go well. Just be firm and tell them what you want! Tarren is getting so big. You have an adorable family. Let us know how things go with Spencer's surgery, Shaun has had that before. Hopefully all will go well! Take care!
